myVEGAS Rewards for Canadians: How Loyalty Points Become Real Comps

  4. What is the catch with myVEGAS rewards?

myVEGAS Slots lets you trade Loyalty Points for real-world rewards such as hotel room discounts, meal and buffet comps, Las Vegas show tickets and cruise offers, and nothing in Playstudios’ published terms shuts Canadian players out. What the terms do not do is promise which rewards a Canadian account will see, and the conditions attached to each reward decide whether it is worth the points.

How do myVEGAS rewards work?

Players see the program as myVIP Rewards; Playstudios’ filings call the loyalty platform underneath it playAWARDS. The mechanics, from the terms and the help centre:

  • Earning. Loyalty Points come from using the app. The terms give examples such as playing for a set time, sharing achievements on Facebook or taking part in in-app offers, and state that points are never awarded based on the outcome of a game. Points pool across participating Playstudios games and sync between myVEGAS Slots and the browser game myVEGAS Classic.
  • Spending. You exchange points in the Rewards area of the app. The help centre describes the rewards as real-life experiences: cruises, hotel room discounts, meal and buffet comps, and tickets to Las Vegas shows.
  • Partners. Playstudios’ 2025 annual report names MGM Resorts International, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean, Virgin Voyages, Topgolf and Cirque du Soleil among its partners, and says that at December 31, 2025 the program offered rewards from 167 brands across 93 partners in 106 countries. The company’s myVEGAS page highlights Bellagio, Wolfgang Puck and Royal Caribbean.

Buying and redeeming a reward works like this, according to the help centre:

  1. Link the game to Facebook or Apple ID. Without a link, rewards are not available.
  2. Read the reward’s full description and its own terms.
  3. Enter the name on your government photo ID and your email. For MGM rewards these must match your MGM Rewards account exactly, including capital letters.
  4. Follow the redemption instructions in the confirmation email. MGM show, room and attraction rewards are booked by signing in to an MGM Rewards account online and using the redemption code.

Can Canadian players earn and redeem them?

This is exactly what we found as of October 13, 2026:

  • The terms do not mention Canada. Playstudios’ Terms of Service, last modified September 27, 2024, contain no country list and no clause excluding Canadian residents from earning Loyalty Points or buying rewards.
  • Age rules apply. You must be 18 to use the service. MGM rewards require you to be 21 at the time of redemption, and other partners may set 21 as well.
  • Partners set conditions. Partners can restrict their rewards with minimum ages, blackout dates, limits on how many you use, or a requirement to join their own loyalty program, and redemption is subject to the partner’s terms.
  • Local law comes first. If the service is illegal where you are, the terms say you get no licence to use it.
  • The catalogue varies. The help centre says rewards and pricing are tested and can differ between players, and the Google Play listing says location data may be used to optimize rewards.

In short, nothing in the published terms stops a Canadian from earning and redeeming, but Playstudios does not publish a rewards list for Canada, and we could not confirm from its own pages which rewards Canadian accounts are offered. Open the Rewards store in the app and read each reward’s terms before spending points. Many of the rewards the help centre describes are hotel, dining, show and cruise offers that you have to travel to use, so getting there is your cost.

Why do myVEGAS rewards not make it a sweepstakes or gambling?

Prize and sweepstakes casinos run a two-currency model: one currency for fun, and a second whose winnings can be redeemed for prizes. myVEGAS is built the other way round:

  • Chips, the currency you bet, cannot be converted into money or traded, and the terms say no game outcome provides anything of value.
  • Loyalty Points are earned for engagement, not wins. Playstudios’ own annual report compares them to frequent-flyer miles.
  • Rewards have no cash value and cannot be sold, traded or transferred.

From the partner’s side, rewards are marketing. Playstudios’ case study for MGM Resorts describes offers designed to help properties use surplus resort capacity and sell perishable inventory, which helps explain why comps arrive with conditions attached. This is Playstudios’ description of its own structure, not a ruling by any Canadian regulator or court. To see how genuine prize casinos differ, read sweepstakes and prize casinos for Canadians and social casinos versus real-money casinos.

Playstudios also runs a separate sweepstakes product, The Win Zone, listed in its 2025 annual report. It is a different app with its own rules and is not covered here.

What is the catch with myVEGAS rewards?

  • Point prices vary and change. Playstudios can change the points needed, and rewards differ between players.
  • Redemption windows. After buying a reward you must redeem it within its redemption period. If it lapses, the reward expires and the points are not refunded. You can cancel during the period for a full points refund, but not after redeeming, and some rewards are non-refundable from the moment you buy them.
  • Stay and date conditions. Some rewards require one or more paid, non-comped nights, are valid only for limited periods, or carry blackout dates.
  • Inactivity. No login for 30 days makes the account inactive, and Playstudios may then expire your Loyalty Points and any rewards bought but not redeemed.
  • Earning caps. Once you hit a limit, a lock stops you earning points; the help centre says it generally refreshes after about 24 hours and support cannot lift it.
  • Names are permanent. Once you redeem under a name and email, that rewards account cannot be renamed or used by someone else.
  • Partners can change the deal. Partners may change or end their programs at any time, and the terms say Playstudios has no liability for that.
  • Self-exclusion counts. Redemption can be limited if you have self-excluded with the partner or with a gaming regulator.
  • Spending feeds status. Buying chip bundles earns myVIP Tier Points, which raise your VIP tier, so purchases and loyalty status are linked even though Loyalty Points are not won on spins.
  • Fake reward messages. Playstudios warns of fake myVIP pages and emails and says it never asks winners for card or bank details. The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre’s guide to phishing explains the tactics.

For the app itself, including chip prices in Canadian dollars and the open US litigation, see our myVEGAS Slots overview. Why social casino currency has no cash value covers the chip side, and levels, XP and VIP tiers explains how tier programs like myVIP work across apps.

Questions people ask

Can Canadians redeem myVEGAS rewards?

Playstudios' Terms of Service, last modified September 27, 2024, do not mention Canada and contain no clause excluding Canadian players. They do let reward partners add their own conditions and set 21 as the minimum age for MGM rewards, and Playstudios says the rewards on offer can differ between players, so read each reward's terms in the app before spending points.

Do myVEGAS Loyalty Points expire?

They can. Under the terms, an account with no login for 30 days is inactive, and Playstudios may then expire its Loyalty Points along with rewards bought but not yet redeemed. A purchased reward also expires if you miss its redemption period, and the points are not refunded.

Is myVEGAS a sweepstakes casino?

No. In a sweepstakes casino, winnings in a second currency can be redeemed for prizes. In myVEGAS, the terms say no game outcome provides anything of value and Loyalty Points are never awarded based on the outcome of a game, so the rewards work like a loyalty scheme rather than a prize draw.
